11-Year-Old Cape May County Girl Killed in Crash

A one car accident in Cape May County yesterday resulted in the death of an 11-year-old girl.

The girl was a passenger in a vehicle driven by Kristen Conner, 40 , of Villas. The name of the victim has not been released, although The Press of Atlantic City has identified her as Conner's daughter.

According to the Middle Township Police Department, Conner was traveling on State Route 47 when her vehicle left the roadway, striking a utility pole and tree. The child was thrown from the vehicle and suffered fatal injuries.

The accident remains under investigation.
