Most of our initial reactions when summoned for Jury Duty involve some sort of groan or sigh of annoyance. However, our civic duty was no nuisance to 11-year-old Luke Fox of West Chester! This boy scout was nothing but excited to serve his local courts when he was summoned over the weekend.

Mom, Jeanette, found the summons comical considering the legal age to serve in court is 18-years-old and Luke is still in elementary school...However since there was no option to check off "exempt" for UNDER age, she decided to give the 1-800 number a call to resolve the issue. They didn't seem to be surprised by the error considering the local court recently switched the company they use that issues the summons. The error was finally corrected. But hey, we must commend Luke for a Scout's honor!
