Hearing about $4 gas on the news and actually seeing $4 gas are two completely different things.

We have to deal with a lot of fees and expenses living here in South Jersey -- tolls, car insurance, and everything else that takes a bite out your family's budget.  But one thing we enjoy (relatively speaking) is cheap gas (relatively speaking). We've been hearing about gas prices topping the $4 mark for weeks and weeks now while we've been paying less than the national average (which, according to AAA, is $3.91/gallon today). While driving in Mays Landing last night, I saw one gas station with a "4" on its sign -- one of the first prices over the four dollar mark that I've seen this year.

Since we all cringe when the little yellow "low fuel" light comes on on your car's dashboard, are you making any driving cutbacks? My wife and I carpool at least two or three times a week and we haven't done many "let's get out of the house and go for a drive"-drives lately, like we used to. And I, like most of us, would love to have a little extra money to go out for dinner or to catch a movie, instead of spending $75 or $100 every time I go to a gas station.

If you're cutting back on driving or know of a gas station selling cheap(er) gas, post your thoughts and opinions in the comment section below.
