69 Year Old Galloway Man Struck By Car and Killed in Absecon

For the second time in a week, a pedestrian has been killed in Absecon.

According to the Absecon Police Department, a 69 year old Galloway man was walking in the westbound lanes of Route 30, when he was struck by a car driven by a 27 year old Egg Harbor City woman. The accident happened near the Home Depot, shortly before 6pm.

The man was pronounced dead on scene by the Atlantic County Medical Examiners office. The driver was treated and transported to the AtlanticCare Regional Medical Center- Mainland Campus by Absecon EMS. With the assistance of the Atlantic City Police Department the westbound lanes of Rt. 30 were closed for two and a half hours for the investigation.
