Tim Sampson doesn't own a bakery, in fact he's a marketing director.  So, how did he come to be a part of a nationally televised baking competition?

Sampson, who moved to Wildwood Crest in 2003 is the marketing director for Morey's Piers.  But he's been baking at home since a very early age.

So when 'The Great Holiday Baking Show' was looking for contestants back in June, he decided to apply online.  He went through a phone interview and then a face-to-face interview in New York City.

And he made it to the final six.  He was pitted against five other people from across the country.  The show was filmed in The United Kingdom and is currently airing on ABC.

It's easy to see why he's doing so well on the show, with his Rosemary and Chocolate Yule Log and his Partridge in a Pear Tree Fruitcake, well, they were practically masterpieces!

Sampson has made it through to the third round, which airs on December 14th at 10pm.  The top baker will be crowned on December 21st at 10pm on ABC.
