Ocean City is often on national lists that feature the best beaches, best vacation destinations, best family resorts. Now, though, it's on a different kind of list.

Ocean City is ranked #5 on the list of the "Most Hungover Places in America."

Wait. What?

(By the way, I double-checked. It is Ocean City, New Jersey and not Ocean City, Maryland.)

Business Insider is where you'll find this list, which it says is the list where you are most likely to be hungover.

Do they know Ocean City is a dry town? I don't think so...their "facts" list Ocean City as a place with 27 bars per 100,000 people and 27 beer/wine/liquor store per 100,000 people. I counted - there area actually zero of either establishments in all of Ocean City.

Again, did they maybe mean Ocean City, Maryland?

The article goes on to say that 10.1% of Ocean City residents admit to heavy drinking and 17.6% admit to binge drinking. (Are they talking about full-time residents - or vacationers that obviously brought in the booze with them.)

I have reached out to one of the writers of the article, and will let you know what he says.

In the meantime, Ocean City, take two aspirins and listen to me in the morning....
