A.C.’s No Parking Ticket Merry Christmas

Given Atlantic City's present financial situation, this will be your best chance at getting a Christmas present from the city.

Atlantic City Police will be placing holiday parking courtesy cards on vehicles with over-time meter violations instead of tickets through January 2.

That's right, no parking tickets will be issued until next year as long as you are parked in a legal parking space.

Police said the courtesy ticket will read, “The meter was red as time has expired, in the rush of the season, we knew you’d be tired. A parking ticket would make you blue, in the holiday spirit this would not do. So during the season of friendship and good cheer, Merry Christmas to you and best wishes all year.”
