The Absecon Branch of TD Bank was robbed yesterday afternoon, but it didn't take long for authorities to nab the guy they think did it.

According to Absecon Police, the bank, on Route 30,  was reported robbed at 1:14pm yesterday. The suspect was described as "a black male approximately 5 feet 8 inches tall weighing about 300 lbs. with a beard, wearing a light color shirt with dark pants and a black knit cap." He reportedly gave the teller and note, then fled with an undetermined amount of cash.

Police say the man was seen running from the bank, heading south on Mill Road. He then reportedly jumped into an ambulance on Ohio Avenue, and drove off. That ambulance was later recovered in Egg Harbor Township and impounded.

With the help of surveillance photos, police were able to identify the suspect as Joseph P Wilson, 26,  of Atlantic City. Authorities were able to arrest Wilson at a home in Pleasantville, just hours after the robbery.

Wilson has been charged with one count of robbery. His bail has been set at $100,000.00 cash. He's currently being held in the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
