It was an eventful evening for one Atlantic City family, as there were multiple fights, a car wreck, and a stabbing all within a matter of a few hours.

Atlantic City Police say it all happened Monday evening in the city. Three members of the same family were involved - possibly more.

The entire description of the events are provided by the Atlantic City Police Department:

At 6:02 pm, patrol officers responded to Ohio and East Riverside Avenues for a report of a fight. Officer Robert Reynolds learned that Delisha DeBerry had gone to her sister, Demaris DeBerry’s house to fight her. When Demaris refused, Delisha smashed out the back window of her car. Delisha returned to her residence and Demaris followed in her car. Once back at the residence, an altercation led to the police response. A complaint for criminal mischief was lodged against Delisha.

At 6:51 pm, patrol officers responded to a residence in the 100 block of North Delaware Avenue for a report of a fight between several DeBerry family members. During the altercation, Delisha smashed a back window to the residence. She left before the arrival of officers. Delisha was later charged with criminal mischief.

At 7:17 pm, patrol officers responded to Mississippi and Hamilton Avenues for a motor vehicle accident with injuries. Officers arrived to find Dashima DeBerry and her passenger, a 24 year old from Atlantic City, had been involved in an accident.

An investigation by responding officers revealed that Dashima attempted to crash her car into a car driven by her sister Demaris. Dashima lost control of the vehicle, jumped the curb, and crashed into a stop sign on the sidewalk. As Dashima and her passenger exited their vehicle, Demaris tried to run them over in her car. Douglas DeBerry exited Demaris’ vehicle with a baseball bat and struck Dashima’s windshield and also her passenger in the face with the bat. The victim was treated on scene by ambulance personnel. Demaris and Douglas fled before the arrival of officers.

Officer Nick Grasso located Demaris back on Delaware Avenue and took her into custody without incident.

While at the Public Safety Building, officers were alerted to an altercation between members of the DeBerry family in the lobby. Douglas was involved in the altercation and wearing a hospital gown. Officers learned that Douglas had just left the AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, City Division, after being stabbed by Dashima after he struck her vehicle and the victim with the bat. Demaris dropped him off at the medical center for treatment. Officer Reynolds, who had responded to each incident, took Douglas into custody.
