Based on the number of times a song was played this year, the #1 country song for 2014 is Brett Eldredge's "Beat of the Music." The song actually started to get played at the end of 2013 and it didn't hit #1 on the country charts until the end of June. That long, slow rise meant it got played a lot and then after it hit the top, it still got played a lot, which all helped make it the biggest song of the year. That's a pretty awesome honor for a guy who didn't have a hit song until 2012!
