Anthony Bourdain vs Paula Deen.  Where would you place your bet?  On Monday, I posted on our blog stating that Paula Deen was going to announce that she has type 2 Diabetes.  And she did.  She's had diabetes for 3 years now.  I'll get back to that in a minute.

Anthony Bourdain has been an enemy to many, friend to few.  He's outspoken and egotistical.  That doesn't mean that I don't like him, however.  He gets right to the point.

According to People.com, last year he posted on his Twitter account that Paula Deen is,

"... the most dangerous person to America."

Ouch.  One can assume that he was talking about Paul Deen's penchant for high calorie, butter laden food.  Anthony Bourdain is known for eating things like pork belly, previously smoking tons of cigarettes and drinking a lot.  That's what his show was all about.  But I guess he's just dangerous to himself.

But don't you think that the American people can make up their own mind about what Paula Deen recipe to make and put into their own body?  Just like Anthony Bourdain can make a decision to quit eating pork belly....

Bourdain is also upset that Paula Deen waited 3 years to divulge her Diabetes.  Here's what he tweeted yesterday,

"Thinking of getting into the leg-breaking business, so I can profitably sell crutches later."

This tweet came hours after Deen's announcement on Tuesday that she will now be a spokesperson for a Diabetes drug.  It makes sense, I get it, but doesn't Paula Deen have a right to endorse a drug?  Or bacon or butter or whatever?

What do you think?  I can see both sides of the argument...
