Four people from Atlantic City and one from Ventnor were arrested in the World's Play Ground Thursday during a street operation in town.

According to the Atlantic City Police Department, members of the Special Investigations Section conducted a street operation along Pacific Avenue Thursday that focused on the possession and distribution of drugs and quality-of-life issues.

Police say during the operation, detectives arrested five people for drug-related offenses, 105 bags of heroin were seized along with five grams of cocaine and 14 grams of marijuana.

This latest group of arrests comes just days after 19 people were arrested during a similar operation along the same street.

The following people were arrested and released on a summons with a future court date:

ARRESTED: Joseph Riley, 28, of Atlantic City.
CHARGES: Possession of a controlled dangerous substance (CDS), possession with intent to distribute CDS, possession with intent to distribute CDS within 1,000 feet of a school zone, and possession with intent to distribute CDS within 500 feet of a public zone.

ARRESTED: Kayla Varlaro, 27, of Atlantic City.
CHARGES: Possession of CDS, possession with intent to distribute CDS, possession with intent to distribute CDS within 1,000 feet of a school zone, and possession with intent to distribute CDS within 500 feet of a public zone.

ARRESTED: Jeffrey Nathanson, 55, of Atlantic City.
CHARGES: Possession of CDS.

ARRESTED: Mark Jones, 39, of Atlantic City.
CHARGES: Possession of CDS.

ARRESTED: Marie Delmastro, 45, of Ventnor, NJ.
CHARGES: Possession of CDS.
