Atlantic City Man Tries to Rob Woman Near Absegami High School
A 911 call at 5:45pm Thursday about a man assaulting a woman jogging near Absegami High School has resulted in an arrest.
According to Galloway Township Police, they received a call about the incident, responded, and found and arrested suspect Tyrone Decker Jr., 25, of Atlantic City.
Police say Decker attacked the victim from behind, and attempted to steal her cell phone. The victim briefly found off Decker, until he threw her to the ground, resulting in minor injuries.
Tyrone Decker Jr. was placed in custody and charged with robbery and criminal mischief. Decker was lodged in The Atlantic County Justice Facility in lieu of $75,000 bail.
