An Atlantic City man has been found guilty of shooting two teenagers - and then taking the Air Jordan sneakers off one of the victim's feet.

Roger Howard, 21, was found guilty Friday in Atlantic County Superior Court for the 2012 attempted murder of two teens during a robbery.

According to Acting Atlantic County Prosecutor Jim McClain,

On October 13, 2012 Atlantic City Police responded to the 300-600 blocks of North
Indiana Avenue for a report of gunshots. On arrival police found two Atlantic City teens
who had suffered gunshot wounds to the legs. One of the victims reported that the
suspect had taken the victim’s Air Jordan sneakers from his feet after shooting him, and
walked away. The victims were transported to the hospital for treatment.
Roger Howard, now 21, of Atlantic City, was charged with the crime on
October 16, 2012, and arrested on December 5, 2012 by members of Atlantic City
Police Department SWAT, Atlantic City Police Special Investigations Section and
Intelligence Unit, Hamilton Township Police, and the FBI.
Today, before Atlantic County Superior Court Judge Michael Donio, Howard was found
guilty on twelve charges: (2) counts of attempted murder, robbery, (6) counts of
aggravate assault, and weapons possession charges.
Three of the charges, the (2) counts of attempted murder and the robbery conviction,
are each punishable with a 10-20 year sentence of imprisonment. Pursuant to the No
Early Release Act (NER), 85% of the sentence must be served before being eligible for
parole.
Sentencing is scheduled before Superior Court Judge Michael Donio on April 25, 2014.
