Atlantic City Triathlon To Impact Traffic on Saturday
Over 1,500 athletes will be participating in the 7th annual Atlantic City Triathlon on Saturday, August 5th, and your travel plans may be impacted.
The Atlantic City Police Department says motorists should avoid the following roadways…
– Atlantic City Expressway exits 5, 4, 2, and 1, and the entire Atlantic City Connector, will be closed from 5AM to 11AM.
– US Route 40/Albany Ave. will have several lane closures both east and westbound from 7 to 11AM. Avoid Route 40 if possible.
– Motorists are asked to use Route 30 and the Atlantic City Expressway to enter and exit Atlantic City.
– Motorists traveling to and from Ventnor and Atlantic City are asked to use West End Avenue.
The Atlantic City Triathlon consists of several different events and they involve area waterways, roadways, and the Atlantic City Boardwalk. If you are driving, boating, swimming, or riding a bike on Saturday, you are urged to keep an eye out for people participating in the triathlon events.
