In honor of National Pizza Day, Pete Genovese of NJ.com decided to poll readers on the best under-the-radar pizzerias in New Jersey.  Yum yum!

Cat Country 107.3 listener Jennifer and I both nominated Poppi's in Wildwood and it made the list!

If you've never had their pizza - make it a point to get there!  It's the best pizza I've had outside of Italy.

No joke.  It's that good!

Here's what Pete said about Poppi's on NJ.com,

Poppi's Brick Oven Pizza, Wildwood
Located across the street from the biggest Domino's I have ever seen, Poppi's brings pizza Napoletana - 00 flour, San Marzano tomatoes, mozzarella and more - to the Shore. I've visited  dozens of brick oven pizzerias in the past several years; Poppi's manages to stand out in an increasingly crowded field. Try the margherita, or the Calabrese, with San Marzano tomato sauce, mushrooms, sausage, onions, peppers, and homemade mozzarella.

I get the Diavolo.  Every.  Single.  Time.

And usually the Kale Caesar Salad, but I changed that up last week and I ordered Trish's Chop Salad...  I may not go back to the Caesar!

And don't miss the truffle fries...  And the Angeoletti...  Oh my goodness.

Some of the other yummy pizzerias...

Pete's Pizza at Columbus Market is also delish...

And I've never been to Mama Mia's in Seaville... Time for a road trip!

See the entire list HERE!

Thanks Pete Genovese for traveling south to try some delicious pizza!
