The third time is usually the charm in life and superstition, but not for Blake Shelton -- unless, of course, we're speaking solely about his wins as a coach on 'The Voice.' For Shelton and his personal career, four is the magic number, as the singer picked up the Male Vocalist of the Year Award at the 2013 CMA Awards.

It was his fourth time pocketing this award in his career.

Jason Aldean, Luke Bryan, Keith Urban and Eric Church were nominated for the award alongside Shelton in 2013. While ol' Blake has been gaining increased crossover fame thanks to his role on the insanely popular reality talent show, he proved that that's not the only place where he is a winner.

Shelton's pal Kelly Clarkson presented him with the award. Upon accepting, he said, "I didn't think this was going to happen this year, but it did."

He also thanked his label's staffers for working their butts off: "We have been at the bottom before and somehow, we dug our way out and I'm up here, talking about this."

PR reps have a thankless job, so it was classy of Shelton to give his a shoutout, since he joked that she is always cleaning up his messes. Congrats to the all-star singer on his fourth Male Vocalist of the Year win.
