Bridgeton Man Arrested in Hamilton Township for Luring
A local man was arrested after reportedly trying to lure a 13-year-old girl he met over the internet.
Hamilton Township Police say that early Monday they were responding to a call of a reported runaway in the Cloverleaf section of the township.
When officers arrived on the scene, they found Jacob Williams, 23, of Bridgeton, trying to pick up the girl near her home
According to police,
Further investigation revealed that Williams and the juvenile were communicating via the internet to set up meetings over a period of time. On 4/23/2014, Williams was charged with Luring a Child to a motor vehicle. The Honorable MCJ H.R. Switzer authorized probable cause for issuance of an arrest warrant and bail was set at $10,000 cash. The investigation continues in regard to any additional criminal involvement related to this case.
