A man from Camden was indicted on first degree murder charges Tuesday for the stabbing death of a Hamilton Township man in August, 2014.

50-year-old Richard Ferrara of Camden was indicted on first degree murder and weapons charges Tuesday by an Atlantic County Grand Jury for the stabbing death of 41-year-old William Strock of Mays Landing two summers ago.

Just after midnight on August 14, 2014, police responded to the Inland Estates Mobile Home Park on the Black Horse Pike after receiving a call about a man lying on the ground. When they arrived, they found Strock bleeding from an apparent stab wound to his torso. Strock was taken to ARMC-City where he later was pronounced dead.

Following an eight-month-long investigation, Ferrara was arrested this past May at the Atlantic County Justice Facility where he was being held on an unrelated matter. Ferrara was charged with murder and held on $1 million bail.

If convicted on the murder charge, Ferrara could spend 30 years to life in state prison.
