We all know Cape May is a gem at the Jersey Shore, but now it's getting some national attention.

Budget Travel just finished its seventh annual Coolest Small Towns contest and after 368,000 votes, Cape May ranked at number seven on the list. The travel site described Cape May as, "America's first beach resort, now with a fresh coat of paint." They went on to say...

Let's face it: You might be convinced that Cape May, America's oldest beach resort town, is stuck in the past. True, you can still find reminders of the seaside burgh's genteel heritage around every corner, from its rows of pastel Victorians to its butterfly gardens. Local lore has it that refined ghouls even haunt the 1879 Emlen Physick Estate. But Cape May's glory days haven't yet passed it by (to misquote the poet laureate of New Jersey, a certain Mr. Springsteen).

And what's not to love about Cape May? The lighthouse, the history, the Promenade, being able to seemingly get away from all of the hustle and bustle of the Jersey Shore while still being at the Jersey Shore. Congratulations to Cape May -- a well deserved honor!
