Carrie Underwood continues her streak of No. 1 albums, debuting at the top spot on the all-genre Billboard 200 albums chart this week with her fourth studio effort, ‘Blown Away.’ The 14-song collection sold a whopping 267,000 copies in its first week of release, earning the title of country music’s biggest digital debut since 2010.

The album is Underwood’s fourth consecutive No. 1 country album and marks a creative departure from her previous efforts. ”I feel like so many people get stuck. They write, they get songs together, they make an album, they go on tour. Then they do it all over again,” the superstar tells Reuters. “I just wanted to change things up. I can’t have stuff to write about if I don’t have a life.”

The album’s lead single, ‘Good Girl,’ is currently No. 8 on the Country Songs chart and has been certified gold, signifying 500,000 digital downloads. The ‘American Idol’ alum debuted the project’s title track, ‘Blown Away,’ last week with a performance of the song on her old television stomping grounds.

To date, Underwood has sold more than 14 million albums, with 14 No. singles to her credit. The singer is currently gearing up for her 2012 Blown Away headlining tour, which will take Underwood to the United Kingdom and Australia for the very first time before she returns to North America for a 54-date domestic leg.
