Several country artists are teaming up for St. Jude this weekend for the Rock 'n' Roll Marathon Series in Nashville.

On Saturday (April 30), Cassadee Pope and Terri Clark will run alongside thousands of others to raise money for St. Jude. Their team includes fellow artists and music industry professionals who are running together under the team name of St. Jude Heroes. Currently, the runners have raised nearly $20,000 for St. Jude.

The Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon Series began in 1998 with the concept of a marathon with bands along the course celebrating each participant. This year's marathon concludes with a performance by the Wallflowers.

According to St. Jude, the runners have raised more than $310 million for participating charities over the years. Each run culminates with a concert at the finish line. Previous performers include Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Pitbull, Goo Goo Dolls, All-American Rejects, Flo-Rida, Train and Lady Antebellum.

The Toyota Rock ‘n’ Roll Concert Series will follow the St. Jude Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon & Half Marathon on Saturday at the Bridgestone Arena at 7PM. The concert is open to the public and tickets are available at the arena box office or Ticketmaster for $35.00.

When Pope finishes her race Saturday, celebration is definitely in order. The singer has many reasons to celebrate lately, though. Recently, her duet with Chris Young, "Think of You" is No. 1 for the second week in Canada. Perhaps a rewarding dinner of poutine is in order once she crosses the finish line on Saturday?
