39 years ago this week, Waylon Jennings and Willie Nelson had the #1 country song in the nation with, "Good Hearted Woman."

In the mid 70s, both Waylon and Willie were lighting the charts on fire -- Waylon had a string of hits ranging from "Rainy Day Woman," "Luckenbach, Texas," and "I've Always Been Crazy" while Willie Nelson was enjoying #1 songs like "Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain," and "Georgia On My Mind." In 1975, the two got together and sang "Good Hearted Woman," which would go on to be both a chart-topper and win the CMA's Single of the Year Award.
