Cat Country Great Pumpkin Drop Will Take Place This Year

We didn't let a big old hurricane stop us! (Hurricane Sandy, 2012) We're not about to let a pandemic stop us!

Once again this year, we're going to drop a big pumpkin from high in the sky, it will splat on the ground, and people will "Ooo and Ahhh!"

For Halloween, we're bringing back the Great Pumpkin Drop - with safety and health precautions, of course.

This year, we'll be dropping our Great Pumpkin at Bernie Robbins Jewelers in Somers Point. We anticipate the pumpkin will hit the ground, splatter, and people will win prizes!

Before going up 107.3 feet in the air, we'll fill the pumpkin with 107 numbered "Cat Balls." We'll also draw some targets on the ground. Whichever numbered Cat Balls that land closest to the targets will win the "owners" of those Cat Balls some great prizes.

Grand Prize this year is a HIS or HER watch from Bernie Robbins Jewelers, valued at $1,000. There will be other great prizes, too!

Now comes the health and safety stuff: Because of Covid-19 precautions, we're going to have to drop the pumpkin without a crown of listeners. (Yes, we don't like it either.)

We'll actually do the pumpkin drop several days before Halloween, and keep the results unknown until the morning of Friday, October 30th - the day before Halloween. Don't worry, we will video the drop, and share it with you on the 30th.

So, here's how YOU can win: Just listen to the Cat Country Morning Show with Joe and Jahna weekdays from 5:30 - 10am. At random times each morning, we'll give you the chance to be a "Cat Ball Owner" or "Qualfier" just by calling in, or using our Cat Country 107.3 APP as directed. (You're already listening for the Cash Cow Contest, right?)
