Country sweetheart Miranda Lambert has been in the news a good bit lately, and most of the headlines have revolved around the personal tragedies she’s encountered in the past couple of weeks. The ‘Baggage Claim’ singer had to deal with the death of her father-in-law, her childhood friend and even her beloved dog, Dixie. Though Lambert has been dealing with these losses, she kept most of her On Fire Tour in tact, but the emotion of everything overcame her at a Huntsville, Ala. show Thursday night. There, Lamber broke down crying in the middle of her nostalgic hit ‘The House That Built Me.’
If Scotty McCreery‘s time on ‘American Idol‘ didn’t prove that he’s capable of covering just about any song ever recorded, his stage show will. The singer played ‘Man of Constant Sorry’ by the Soggy Bottom Boys during a show in Lancaster, Calif. on Sunday night, as seen in the video below.
The always lovely Lauren Alaina had a terrific 2011, placing second on ‘American Idol’ and releasing her well-received debut album, ‘Wildflower.’ She capped off the year by performing her fast-paced single ‘Georgia Peaches’ on Fox’s ‘American Country New Year’s Eve Live’ special last night (Dec. 31) in Las Vegas.
