Every year during the month of October, Cat Country kicks off its Quest for One Million Pennies. The money collected from the "quest" is donated to help benefit the children of St. Jude's Research Hospital.
One of the early signs that fall has arrived is the sightings of bright, orange pumpkins everywhere. From roadside stands to farms to front porches, pumpkins are a sure sign of the season. As we get closer to Halloween we start to see all kinds of jack-o-lanterns carved out in all sorts of designs.
Halloween costumes can be thought out for months or even a year in advance. People take measures to make sure they have the most outrageous, spookiest, creative costume to show off their Halloween spirit. In fact, we even go as far as to pick out costumes for our pets.
While September is known as the month of backpacks, sharpened pencils, early alarm clocks and kids across the United States returning to school, it's also a month in which many, many country stars celebrate with cake -- because it's their birth month!
