Cleveland Home Where Women Escaped Near ‘The Christmas Story’ House

I've been watching the events unfold in the "Three Women Escape" saga since the story broke last night.

Three women, held hostage in a Cleveland, Ohio home for over 10 years were able to finally escape - with the help of a neighbor.

First, it's an unbelievable story. Second, I was born in Cleveland. I spent the first 13 years of my life there.

Years before any of the events in this story happened, I lived several miles from the location of the house where the women were held, but actually lived only minutes from where each were reportedly kidnapped.

The neighborhood where the house is located is much like many old Cleveland neighborhoods - including the neighborhood where the house was located that was featured in the movie, "The Christmas Story." I was able to locate them both on a map. Lo and behold, they are really just a few city blocks from one another! A 15 minute walk!
