According to a post on Morey's Piers Facebook page, Bill Morey, Sr., passed away Wednesday at the age of 87.

The post says Morey was born in North Wildwood in 1929 and raised in West Wildwood. He lived in the Wildwoods his entire life and opened Morey's Pier with his brother, Will, in the late 1960s. In addition to his amusements, he was an accomplished builder during Wildwood's Doowop motel era and owned a bingo hall on the Wildwood boardwalk.
