It was a huge thrill for me to hear Dierks Bentley say my name on stage during the concert at Boardwalk Hall Saturday night!

(Now, I was on stage, myself, at Boardwalk Hall Saturday night at the start of the show, and said my own name, but that didn't compare to Dierks saying "Joe Kelly.")

I first met Dierks over 10 years ago, when he was beginning his career. He came by the station and introduced myself and our Cat Country family to himself and his music. I've kept in touch with him ever since. He actually played one of our Cat Country Backyard BBQs back in 2003. I always look forward to catching up with him at his shows here, and we've shared a beer or two in the past in both Nashville and Las Vegas.

Hearing my name Saturday night was certainly one of my favorite moments I've had in my radio career. Here's a few others that stand out:

*On the stage at the Trump Taj Mahal, Lee Ann Womack stopped the concert to sing me "Happy Birthday."

*I once went bowling with.....Tanya Tucker! (Dierks Bentley bowled with us!)

*I asked both George Strait and Garth Brooks if I could wear there hats for a photo. Both happily obliged. Both pictures came out crappy.....

*I had lunch in Somers Point with Lady Antebellum before anyone had any idea who they were.
