The 30th annual Atlantic City St. Patrick’s Day will take place March 12, 2016. The parade is scheduled to start just North of the Garden Pier and the Boardwalk and end at Albany Avenue and the Boardwalk. Locals and for those who have attended this parade in the past surely have a routine they follow each year.

Here is a how-to manual to help you celebrate this parade like a true AC local and get the best out of daylong event.

The Start:

Starting at a pub would be getting off on the right foot. Both the Irish Pub on St. James Ave. and Chelsea Pub on Morris Ave. are great places to begin. Depending on how early you arrive to the pub, we recommend an Irish coffee. One part brewed coffee, one part Jameson and one part Baileys Irish crème. Remember to pace yourself; you have a marathon of drinking ahead of you.

The Parade:

Some spots on the boardwalk are more crowded than others during the parade. Two of the best places to be are St. James Ave., which is convenient because the Irish Pub is located on that street, and also Mississippi Ave., which is up the street from the biggest after party in Atlantic City. The after party takes place at Ducktown Tavern, tents are littered across multiple parking lots, trucks with beer dispensers keep cups filled and everyone who can still stand will be there.
