People from as far away as State Island have reported smelling smoke this morning - and, it's coming from South Jersey.

A brush fire broke out yesterday in the Wharton State Forest, and continues this morning, spreading smoke over a wide area.

According to the Associated Press:

The fire burned about 30 acres along Batsto Road in Wharton State Forest on Sunday.
The smoke could be seen for miles.
NBC 10 in Philadelphia reports crews dropped water from airplanes and used backfires to contain the blaze.
New York City's emergency management office alerted residents in Brooklyn and Staten Island that they might smell smoke from the blaze, which is about 90 miles away.
The fire did not threaten any structures and there are no reports of injuries.
