Dustin Lynch showed the crowd what it’s like to see red this week when he performed his new single on TBS late night show Conan.

He showed off his edgier side with the new single “Seein’ Red,” backed by a band decked in the bold color on a stage washed in crimson. The rock-tinged track hit the ground running with grungy power chords as Lynch stepped up to the mic in his usual statement cowboy hat and jeans — not to mention a shirt from his new line Stay Country — ready to tell the story.

Lynch sang the sexy tune with conviction, showing off his vocal skills and electric stage presence as the band chugged along. The artist beamed in between verses, and it was clear he loves performing the new song.

“’Seein’ Red' is the perfect introduction to where I am in life and what this next chapter of music represents,” he says. “It’s fun, sexy, energetic and makes me want to dance all over somebody.”

The track is the first single off Lynch’s upcoming third studio album, which is still in the process of being recorded.

The singer also showed off his more sensitive side with a stripped-down version of his first hit “Cowboys and Angels” backstage on Conan as part of a web exclusive. The song, inspired by his grandparents’ marriage of more than 61 years, went platinum when it was released in 2012 from his self-titled album.

When he’s not working on the upcoming album, Lynch is busy touring with Luke Bryan on the Kill the Lights Tour. He’s also slated to join up with Chris Young this fall as direct support for his I’m Comin’ Over Tour.
