Investigation of numerous theft incidents in the area has resulted in a number of arrests by the Egg Harbor Township and a number of other law enforcement agencies.

In Egg Harbor Township, vehicle break ins and burglaries have been the problem. EHT Police have made 5 arrests they say clear up numerous incidents.

On 10/03/2014 the Egg Harbor Township Police Department cleared numerous cases with the arrest of Maurice Sessoms, 23 years of Atlantic City, Tyseema Bing(Howard), 28 years old of Egg Harbor Township and Tyria Bing, 20 years old of Egg Harbor Township. Complaints were also signed against William Jenkins Jr, 19 years old of Egg Harbor Township and Jordan Edwards, 23 years old of Pleasantville.
Maurice Sessoms was charged with possession of CDS (Heroin), Possession of prescription legend drugs, fraudulent use of a stolen credit card, forgery and three (3) counts of receiving stolen property. Municipal Court Judge H. R. Switzer set bail for Sessoms at $75,000 cash and he was lodged in the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
Tyseema Bing (Howard) was charged with fraudulently using of a stolen credit card, and hindering her own apprehension. Bing (Howard) was also a wanted fugitive out of the Atlantic County Sheriff’s Department. Municipal Court Judge H. R. Switzer set bail for Bing (Howard) at $5,000 cash and she was lodged in the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
Tyria Bing was charged with hindering the apprehension of another. Her charges were placed on a summons and she was released at the conclusion of processing.
William Jenkins and Jordan Edwards have both been charged with fraudulent use of a stolen credit card. Municipal Court Judge H. R. Switzer authorized warrants with bail to be set upon their arrest. The two subjects remain wanted persons as of this release.This incident was investigated by Detective Rich Vogt of the Egg Harbor Township Criminal Investigation Bureau assisted by Officer Gary Johnson and Michael O’Hagan of the Egg Harbor Township Police Operations Bureau. Residents are reminded to lock their vehicles and not store valuables inside. Anyone who may have been a victim of a recent burglary which was not reported is asked to call Detective Rich Vogt (609-926-4127) of the Egg Harbor Township Police Department Criminal Investigation Bureau.

In Hamilton Township and surrounding areas, break ins and thefts from sheds and garages have been a problem. Charges against six people have been made.

During the month of September, a Multi-Jurisdictional investigation began regarding numerous shed/garage burglaries dating back to the early part of this year. A search warrant was prepared and executed in Mays Landing and a large amount of property was recovered including motorcycles, quads, various tools, power tools, lawnmowers, weed eaters, trimmers, generators, power washers, blowers, yard tents, and bicycles, etc. The individuals responsible for these crimes were identified as Carlos Soler (26, of Mays Landing), Tyler Gallagher (20, of Mays Landing), Glenn Peterson (25, of Galloway), Richard Souder (24, of Somers Point), Ronald Wegner (32, of Cape May Court House) and Denisa Soler (23, of Mays Landing). Warrants have been issued for all involved and additional charges are pending. These individuals are wanted in connection for over (40) burglaries, credit card fraud and an arson out of Pleasantville following a burglary where a trailer was set on fire.

Detectives from Pleasantville, Galloway, Egg Harbor Twp., Absecon, Northfield, Linwood, Mullica, Atlantic County Prosecutors Office, and Township of Hamilton are asking for anyone with information regarding the above individual’s whereabouts to please contact their local Police Department. In addition, if anyone has reported a burglary to their shed/garage during this time frame where property was stolen should also contact their local Police Department.
