EHT Man Arrested on Drug Charges at West Atlantic City Motel

A man from Egg Harbor Township is facing a long list of charges after a search warrant was executed at a West Atlantic City motel Friday.

EHT Police executed a search warrant at a room at the Travel Inn in West Atlantic City on Friday where they seized 38 packets of suspected heroin along with numerous empty wax folds used to package heroin, a scale, a needle, crack pipes, a bullet proof vest, and $144 cash.

Arrested was 54-year-old Adrien Lassiter from Egg Harbor Township, who has been charged with possession of heroin, distribution of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia, and possession of a hypodermic needle.

Also in the room at the time of the executed search warrant was 33-year-old Zoraida Velez of Pleasantville. Velez was arrested on an outstanding NCIC Warrant and lodged in the Atlantic County Justice facility.

Due to recent bail reform changes, Lassiter was released on a summons pending court.
