Egg Harbor Township Police will set up a DUI Checkpoint to kick off the holiday weekend.

In an effort to crack down on impaired driving, police will set up the checkpoint Friday night from 10pm until 3am Saturday morning. The checkpoint will be in the westbound lanes of the Black Horse Pike between the intersections of Tilton Road and Uibel Avenue.

According to police, "The goal of this checkpoint is to raise awareness of the dangers of consuming alcohol and/or drugs prior to getting behind the wheel of a motor vehicle along with high visibility enforcement. We will have zero tolerance for motorists who decide to drive while under the influence of alcohol or drugs."
