EHT Schools Locked Down Because of Gunman in Nearby Woods

Some Egg Harbor Schools were on lock down yesterday as Egg Harbor Township Police followed up a call of a man with a gun in a wooded area of the Scullville section of the township.

According to a release from the EHT Police Department, a man with a firearm was located after about a twenty minute search. He was called "suicidal" and no one was injured.

As a precaution, authorities put the following schools on lockdown: Slaybaugh Primary, Slaybaugh Secondary, and Swfit Schools, as well as Wonder Years Day Care Center.

The unidentified man was transported to a local hospital for evaluation.
