If you live or travel in the area of Atlantic City International Airport, you can expect to see a large number of emergency vehicles Wednesday and Thursday.  What you will be witnessing is only a drill.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation, Federal Air Marshall Service, New Jersey State Police along with the Atlantic City International Airport (ACY) Fire Department will conduct an Emergency Preparedness Exercise Wednesday, November 14, through Thursday November 15, 2018.

The exercise will run from approximately 9 a.m. Wednesday through 4 p.m. on Thursday. No local roads will be closed, although increased emergency vehicle activity may occur during the drill on Tilton Road (CR 563) between Delilah and Wrangleboro/ S. Pomona Roads as well as the Tilton Road-Delilah Road intersection. The airport will remain open for business.

The exercise will evaluate the emergency plans for the airport, federal and state agencies that would be directly involved in an actual aircraft incident.

Residents and commuters in the area should not be alarmed or concerned if they notice increased emergency responder activity during the announced time period.
