Eyebrow Threading

Have you ever heard of "Eyebrow Threading?"  I had it done yesterday...

I'm usually an eyebrow waxing kind of gal, but a new eyebrow threading place opened up in my neighborhood, so I had to try it!

Now, full disclosure, I had a roommate years ago who knew how to thread eyebrows (wayyyy before it was cool!), but I haven't had it done since then.

A good description of eyebrow threading, according to Wikipedia,

"Practitioners use a pure, thin, twisted cotton thread which is rolled over usually untidy hairlines, moustaches and other areas of unwanted hair, plucking the hair at the follicle level. Unlike tweezing,  where single hairs are pulled out one at a time, threading can remove an entire row of hair, resulting in a straighter line."

So, what did I think??

It was great!  I'm loving the shape of my brows, but it hurt.  Waxing hurts too, but only for an instant.  Threading is a bit more painful, but I think I like the outcome better than waxing.

Have you ever had your eyebrows threaded?

I'll give it some time to see how fast my brows grow back in and whether I still like the shape after a few days.  But so far, I'm a fan!
