After breaking the record for the most chart-topping weeks for a song by a duo and going double Platinum, it should come as no surprise that Florida Georgia Line's 'Cruise' snatched up the title for Single of the Year at the 2013 AMAs.

Their song, the remix of which features well-loved rapper Nelly, has captured the hearts of country and pop fans, proven by the massive amounts of votes that came in to help FGL beat other hot singles. The competition consisted of Macklemore & Lewis' 'Thrift Shop' and Robin Thicke's 'Blurred Lines.'

Brian Kelley and Tyler Hubbard embraced the rapper before making their way onstage. Hubbard said genuinely, "I want to thank the Lord for letting us be here, for blessing us so much," and Kelley made sure to give a shoutout to their label and management. He also thanked the fans, saying, "We want to say thank you to our fans. This is an amazing time in the music industry, in any genre."

When it came time for Nelly to take the mic, he was short, sweet and to the point ... well, at least short -- we're not totally sure what he was intending when he simply said, "St. Louis, what up."

Congratulations to FGL and Nelly for their award. Now, the question is -- who gets to bring it home?
