Forked River Woman Indicted in Dog’s Abandonment Death

A Forked River woman, who allegedly moved out of a house, leaving her dog left to die in a crate, is indicted on third degree animal cruelty charges.  The Lacey Patch.com reports 21-year-old Megan Otte is also the subject of a petition drive and Facebook page set up by animal rights activist calling for the maximum sentence.  Ott’s mixed breed dog Ruger was found dead in the empty house in June by Lacey Township Police.  She was arrested on June 26th and released on bail a month later.
