The Atlantic County Prosecutor's office announced Monday the arrest of four people in connection to an 7-month welfare fraud investigation, including two employees of the county Family & Community Development office.

According to a statement from Atlantic County Prosecutor Damon G. Tyner's office, the Investigation revealed that Barbara Landron, 46, of Atlantic City and Christine Gonzalez, 47, of Ventnor City, would electronically cancel EBT legitimately issued to persons who qualified for assistance, and then reissue new cards and use them for their own personal use.

Landron and Gonzalez together stole approximately 30 EBT cards from legitimate receipts for approximately $10,000 in losses.

Shayala Landron, 18, of Atlantic City daughter of Barbara Landron, was charged for her role in accepting stolen EBT cards and using them for her own personal use.

Deion Nance, 22, of Atlantic City, boyfriend of Shayala Landron, was charged as a result of a stolen handgun and marijuana located in his residence upon the execution of search warrants related to this investigation.
