Galloway Man on Motorized Scooter Struck and Killed By Car

A Galloway Township man is dead after being struck by a car on Moss Mill Road last evening.

According to the Press of Atlantic City, Joseph Strike Jr, 52,  was on a motorized scooter shortly after 6pm, when he was struck by a car driven by Michael Ryan, 24, of Galloway. Strike was transported by ambulance to AtlanticCare Regional Medical Center, Mainland Campus, where he was pronounced dead a short time later.

A witness told police that prior to the accident, the scooter was “stationary” in the eastbound lane of Moss Mill for an unknown reason, police said.
