Georgia’s 5 Favs: I Made My Own Lip Balm!

I made my own lip balm!  From scratch!  That's included in Georgia's 5 Favs and some great TV too!

1.  Homemade Lip Balm -

My sister in law gave me this kit for Christmas, sadly I'm just getting around to playing with it now!  Last Saturday, I pulled out the kit and actually made my own lip balm!  The kit comes with everything you need.  Melt the beeswax, cocoa butter and sunflower oil down and then add the essential oil - boom - you have lip balm!  All natural and a great gift - definitely one of my favorite Christmas gifts!

2.   Birthday Cake Oreos -

What?  OMG delicious!

3.  Private Lives of Nashville Wives -

This show on TNT has replaced 'The Real Housewives' franchise for me.  Over the years, I have slowly stopped watching 'Housewives,' New York went first, then Atlanta, lastly Beverly Hills.  I will forever watch Orange County and New Jersey.  (Miami is still a contender...)  But 'Private Lives of Nashville Wives' is my new guilty pleasure.  Ana is so fun, Sarah is a sweet Georgia girl (woo hoo!) and the other ladies have their own drama and quirkiness.  I'm a fan.  Drama, country music, fashion and Nashville?  Sign me up!

4.  'When Day Breaks' by Mary Jane Clark -

If you're looking for an easy beach read this summer, pick up any of the 'Key News Thrillers' by Mary Jane Clark.  I've read a couple in the series (you can read any of them at anytime, they don't need to be in order) and they are always enjoyable.  I just started 'When Day Breaks' even though I'm still reading 'Allegiant!'  Tell me I'm not the only one who reads a couple books at once, right?

5.   The Pour House "The Second Coming Burger" -

Some friends were in town this past weekend from North Jersey and we were searching for a nice place to have lunch outside on Sunday.  We decided to go to The Pour House in Westmont, NJ.  I've heard great things about their burgers, so we gave them a shot.  OMG.  I've (literally) never had a better burger.  I had the Second Coming Burger and this is the description from their menu,

"Pat LaFrieda custom grind: 100% dry aged sirloin, gruyere cheese, overnight tomatoes, roasted garlic aioli, with shoestring fries and a pickle"

YUM!  I have been on a burger kick lately, every time my husband asks what I want to eat, I say "a burger!"  The Pour House has a nice patio and a great selection of beers, too!  Give them a try if you're near Westmont!
