Georgia’s 5 Favs: New TV Shows & New Lip Gloss
It has been a HOT second (and far too long) since my last post of Georgia's 5 Favs! So, without further delay.... it's time for another round of Georgia's 5 Favs!
This is the first season for this Netfilx original series. It's raunchy, it's funny and it's brilliant. It IS NOT for the faint of heart. It's very graphic and deals with VERY adult topics... You've been warned... Disclaimer aside, it's about a young (and waspy, on her own account) girl that goes to prison for a little over a year. She meets some characters on the inside. It's a very well done show.
I received this sample in my Birchbox this month. It's described as an ultra-hydrating crease-control concealer. I used it this morning for the first time and I actually liked it. I prefer to not use any under eye concealer because I think it causes the fine lines to appear more prominent, but this was very subtle. You can see in the picture above that the concealer is surrounded by a moisturizer. Some of the reviews I've read mentioned using it as a blemish concealer... I'll have to try that, you know, when I get a blemish....
I don't know when this TV station debuted, but I found it two weeks ago. I was having quite a lazy weekend and I ended up watching endless episodes of 'Sex and the City' on the Esquire Network. Since then, I've been hooked on a lot of their programming. Any network that replays old episodes of 'Late Night with Jimmy Fallon' is A-OK in my book. Check it out if it's offered by your cable provider. I mean, have you seen 'Brew Dogs?' It may become my new favorite show!
Of course, this was another score in my Birchbox this month... I've been trying to get away from my old standard neutral lip gloss. Don't be scared by the color in this gloss, it's very sheer. The color above is "Flowering Fuchsia." It's a light poppy/pink shade. It's a gloss that's almost clear, but with a hint of color. The gloss itself is clear, not opaque. Does that make any sense? It's super smooth and not sticky. Give it a try.
5. Apple TV
Apple TV has been around for a long time, but my husband and I just got it for our home. We always watched Netflix through our PS3. But now we can do all sorts of fun things with Apple TV. My husband's main reason for the purchase was because he took advantage of the Madden 25 NFL Pre-Order offer for a year of free Sunday Ticket with the purchase of the video game. But, it's only for a computer, smart phone or tablet. With Apple TV, you can "mirror" your iOS device to your TV through Apple TV.... So technical!! I played Candy Crush through my phone, on my TV last night... SO COOL!
So there you go! Comment below if you have any fun new products, recipes, workout, etc! I will check them out and possibly feature it here on Georgia's 5 Favs!
