Over a year ago, I started promoting my YMT Vacations cruise to Alaska.  It seemed like so long ago and now the cruise is over!  I can't believe that it flew by so quickly.  But my family and I had a fantastic time!

My mom, stepdad and husband all came along for a cruise to Alaska that included stops in Ketchikan, Skagway, Juneau and Victoria, British Columbia.

When we arrived in Seattle, the cruise port, I was expecting dreary, rainy weather, but it was actually a nice 75 degrees with sunshine.

We boarded the Norwegian Jewel and after getting settled in our beautiful room (with a balcony!) and we headed straight to the bar!  It is vacation after all!  After grabbing an adult cocktail, we headed to the sun deck of the ship to watch as the huge boat takes off from Seattle onto our first destination.

We cruised all day Saturday and Sunday.  Monday we landed in Ketchikan, Alaska's most populated southernmost city.  Ketchikan boasts that it rains more often there than in Seattle.  It was really foggy and cold, but beautiful.  My parent's decided to take a tour of the city while my husband and I just walked around the town for a few hours.  Ketchikan is considered the Salmon Capital of the World, so we got to see salmon jumping upstream and took a tram car up a pretty steep mountain to catch a great view of the city.

A huge thank you to YMT Vacations for setting up the whole trip for my husband and I, they were a great company to work with!  Check them out HERE.
