Glen Campbell released more than 60 albums and more than 100 (one hundred!) singles throughout his storied musical career. The icon made his mark as part of groups, as a session musician and, of course, as a solo artist; some of his best songs, though, were duets with other big names.

During his career, Campbell collaborated with everyone from Tanya Tucker to Johnny Cash. Below, The Boot has selected his five best studio-recorded duets.

"I Say a Little Prayer / By the Time I Get to Phoenix"

    (with Anne Murray)

One of the tracks on 1971's Anne Murray / Glen Campbell duets album, "I Say a Little Prayer / By the Time I Get to Phoenix" weaves together Dionne Warwick's classic with one of Campbell's own iconic songs. As a single, it peaked at No. 40 on the country charts and at No. 13 on the Easy Listening chart.

    "Cheatin' Is"

    (with Emmylou Harris)

When Harris re-released her 1979 album Blue Kentucky Girl in 2004, this song was one of two bonus tracks included. Its lyrics are decidedly melancholy ("Cheatin' is a part of lovin' that starts / When true love isn't what lovers are lookin' for ..."), but they get especially sad in the final verse, when Harris and Campbell urge listeners to please, think of the children: "And the worst of cheatin' is the sad little kids / Hangin' in the middle while mummy and daddy kiss / Cheatin' is a game where nobody wins / And the ones that aren't big enough to play are the ones who lose ..."

    "Dream Lover"

    (with Tanya Tucker)

From Tucker's 1980 Dreamlovers album, "Dream Lover" only hit No. 59 on the country charts, but it earned a Grammy Awards nod for Best Country Vocal Performance By a Duo or Group. Campbell and Tucker recorded this song, among others, while dating.

"The Hand That Rocks the Cradle"

    (with Steve Wariner)

One of Campbell's most successful duets, "The Hand That Rocks the Cradle" was released in May of 1987 as the first single from Campbell's Still Within the Sound of My Voice album. It hit No. 6 on the Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart, and was nominated for Best Country & Western Vocal Performance – Duet at the Grammy Awards.

    "Let It Be Me"

    (with Bobbie Gentry)

Gentry's name is likely one of the first that comes to mind when discussing Campbell's duets. Together, they recorded an entire album of duets (1968's Bobbie Gentry and Glen Campbell), which spawned two singles: "Mornin' Glory / Less of Me" and "Let It Be Me." The latter hit No. 14 on the country charts, No. 7 on the Easy Listening chart and No. 36 on the Billboard Hot 100. The Bobbie Gentry and Glen Campbell album also received Album of the Year at the ACM Awards.
