Hamilton Township Police K-9 Argos deserves an extra treat, following his involvement in the arrest of a suspect and the recovery of various items.

Police say that Sunday afternoon they responded to a shoplifting complaint from the ACME in the Festival Shopping Center on the Black Horse Pike. A suspect had fled into the woods prior police arriving.

As police were checking the area, they discovered and arrested a suspect, Kenneth Calverley, 28, of Pleasantville.

According to police, Officer Silvio and her K-9 partner, Argos arrived on the scene and began a search of the woods where Calverley was thought to have originally hid. Argos made a successful track and led officers to stolen items, plus some drug paraphernalia.
