Horses Wander Onto Atlantic City Expressway Shoulder
State police have removed several horses that wandered onto a shoulder of the Atlantic City Expressway in Winslow Township.
The Press of Atlantic City reports that three adult horses and a pony wandered onto the expressway at around 6 p.m. Monday. Troopers stayed with them until the owner arrived with a trailer and took them away about an hour later.
Trooper Scott Farkas says police did not have to close any lanes and there were no injuries. The horses did not walk onto the highway.
It was not immediately known how the horses got loose.
