A German-based grocery store chain is apparently going ahead with plans to build a store in Egg Harbor Township, despite the giant that will live across the street.

The Lidl grocery store chain has gained approval to build a store on the site of land owned by Trocki Hebrew Academy on the Black Horse Pike.

The land is almost directly across the road from THE NEW SUPER WALMART that is being built.

Gulp.

Talk about David vs. Goliath!

This would be the same Walmart whose construction was reportedly delayed repeatedly by efforts of another super market chain to block it. Their store is five miles away!

So, welcome to America, Lidl. That's a Walmart across the street. Good Luck!
