I need your help: I'm looking to build a list of the 100 greatest mediocre movies ever made. Here's what I'm talking about...

Earlier this week, Georgia found out that neither myself nor Joe Kelly have ever seen "The Godfather" or "The Godfather Part II" -- and she nearly lost her mind. That made me find a list of the 100 greatest movies ever made, of which I have seen about 14 of them. That, then, made Joe Kelly built a list of the 100 greatest movies according to Joe Kelly. That, now, has inspired me to build a list of the 100 greatest mediocre movies ever made.

Here's what I mean by "mediocre movies" -- these are the movies that you will watch anytime you see it on TV, regardless of what point in the movie you find it's on. Maybe its won some awards, maybe it's a truly awful movie. Maybe your husband or wife loves it or when you watch it, they have to leave the room because they're tired of seeing it.

Here are a few to get the ball rolling:

- "My Cousin Vinny" -- I've seen this movie hundreds of times. It's one of those movies that I'll watch it beginning to end or if there's only five minutes left.

- "Planes, Trains, and Automobiles" -- This movie isn't on a lot; you might catch it once or twice around Thanksgiving. As far as I'm concerned, it's one of the best movies that Steve Martin and John Candy starred in.

- "Clue" -- The movie version of the classic board game came out back in 1985, starring Tim Curry and half a dozen other stars. Not a bad movie, but it gets old after the 70th or 80th time you've seen it.

So, what are your favorite mediocre movies? Drop me an e-mail, post your picks on the Cat Country Facebook page, or use the comments section below. I'll assemble a list and post it next week.
